Jamshedpur maintains no Covid death streak for 4 straight days  

Jamshedpur, Feb 3: For the fourth day in a row, the Steel City recorded no deaths due to COVID-19 on Thursday.

City reported 203 fresh Covid-19 cases while 338 people recovered of the infection in the same period.

New infections on Thursday pushed the overall caseload to 68,253.

The death toll remained at 1132, the health bulletin said.

According to East Singhbhum Covid-19 medical bulletin, as many as 338 people have walked out of healthcare facilities aggregating 66511 and leaving 610 active infections.

The number of samples tested today was at 6961 pushing the cumulative number of specimens examined so far to 2261657 till date.

Jamshedpur’s positivity rate – the number of people testing positive for every 100 tests – was 2.92 percent with the latest addition in cases. 6961 samples were tested on Thursday.

The positivity rate came down to 3.02 per cent in Jamshedpur.

The cumulative coronavirus case count stands at 68253 and the death count is now 1132, according to the latest health bulletin.

6961 COVID-19 tests, including 900 RT-PCR, 5784 RAT and 277 TrueNat were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 849608 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.74% while the mortality rate is 1.66%.

So far in Jamshedpur 2270077 samples have been collected out of which 2261657 have been tested and 2193404 have turned out to be negative.
