Jamshedpur: A preparatory meeting regarding arrangements for the upcoming 3rd Women’s National Masters Athletics Championship was held at Telco Club in Jamshedpur.
The meeting was presided over by Vijay Singh, President of the Masters Athletics Association of Jharkhand (MAAJ). Athletes, office bearers and members of the association participated in the meeting and reviewed preparations for the championship.
During the discussion, it was noted that women athletes from Jharkhand have been consistently performing well in Masters Athletics and are preparing with dedication for the national event. The 3rd Women’s National Masters Athletics Championship is scheduled to be held in Goa from May 30 to May 31, 2026.
On the occasion, General Secretary S.K. Tomar extended his best wishes to the participating athletes and briefed them about important rules and guidelines related to the championship. He also advised them to maintain discipline, continue regular training and focus on thorough preparation ahead of the competition.
Among those present at the meeting were R.P. Pandey, Avtar Singh, Lakshmi Devi, Sabitri Devi, Sarika Gupta, Charanjit Kaur, Lalit Rao and Rajashree Das, along with other athletes and members of the association.
