Jamshedpur: Loyola School celebrated International Yoga Day over four days to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among its students.
The celebrations commenced in the Junior Section on June 19, when a Mass Yoga Session was organized at the school’s basketball court. Students of Standards III, IV, and V participated under the guidance of yoga instructor Rani Singh. A special attraction of the programme was an impressive display of yoga formations presented by a group of students.
The celebrations continued in the Senior Section on June 22, where students of Class VI presented a captivating yoga display during the morning assembly on the school grounds. The performance showcased various asanas.
Speaking on the occasion, teachers emphasized that the International Yoga Day served as an opportunity to encourage students to adopt healthy habits and integrate yoga into their daily routines.
Principal Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Vice Principals Jayanthi Sheshadri and Vineeta F. Ekka, along with members of the teaching staff, appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and commendable performances.
