Jamshedpur, August 28: A delegation led by Kusum Purti, District Council Member of Jamshedpur, met with Tata Motors management to submit a memorandum demanding the construction of roads and the provision of essential civic amenities in the Sarajamda, Barigoda, and Gadda areas. The delegation requested the construction of a road from Barigoda railway gate to Shankarpur Chandni Chowk via Sarajmda, and from Barigoda gate to Gadda petrol pump, along with proper road lighting, water pipe repairs, and bus stops at designated locations.

Kusum Purti highlighted that while Tata Motors has commendably arranged buses for its permanent employees, the increased bus traffic has led to the deterioration of the roads, with large potholes and frequent bursts of water pipes causing accidents. The lack of designated bus stops has resulted in traffic jams, particularly during peak hours, causing delays for patients, students, and other commuters.
The delegation urged Tata Motors to address these issues promptly, warning that failure to do so would lead to protests and demonstrations by the villagers. The Tata Motors management has assured the delegation that immediate action will be taken under their CSR initiatives. Present at the submission of the memorandum were social worker Ambika Dutt Mishra, Panchayat Samiti member Shivam Boypay, and other local representatives.
