Jamshedpur: Legal service cum empowerment camp held in six blocks

Jamshedpur, Feb 26: A legal service cum empowerment camp was organized in six blocks of East Singhbhum—Patamada, Bodam, Potka, Dhalbhumgarh, Baharagora and Ghatsila—on Sunday under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). It was held on the directive of National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) and Jharkhand Legal Services Authority (JLSA). District Judge Anil Kumar Mishra had deputed Judicial Magistrates, ACJM and ADJ in the blocks. The magistrates, Numan Azam Khan, Rajendra Prasad, Prashant Singh and Amit Alda, ACJM of Ghatsila Sushila Soren and ADJ of Ghatsila KK Shukla were present as chief guests in the various blocks. They informed the villagers about the benefits of various welfare schemes being run by the state government.

Assets worth 1.05 crore were distributed among 76 beneficiaries. The villagers visiting the camps were informed about their legal rights and duties. They were also informed about NLSA, JLSA and DLSA. (w-at)
