Jamshedpur KPS Kadma celebrates May Day

Jamshedpur, April 30: May Day, celebrated as International Labour Day and International Workers Day, also called as Labour Day, was celebrated at Kerala Public School, Kadma.

The celebration commenced with a prayer song followed by other songs presented by the students. The KPS Kadma students initiated the celebration by paying respect to the nonteaching staff of their school by presenting them with handmade cards as gesture of gratitude. The students gave speeches on the purpose of May Day celebrations.

Kerala Public School, Kadma Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, in her address, observed, “Labour Day is a reminder for us that workers are the real architects of our society and they deserve the respect due to them. Teachers must inculcate in the students a sense of gratitude towards those who serve them as this special day is dedicated to such people.”

The nonteaching staff members were overwhelmed during the programme and they expressed their gratitude towards the School Management, teachers and students. Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar, while offering the vote of thanks, paid respect to the staff members for their priceless contribution towards the smooth functioning of the institution.
