Jamshedpur, April 8: The airfare for flights from Bhubaneswar to Jamshedpur has seen an increase, contrasting with a decrease in fares from Kolkata to Jamshedpur. India One Air, the airline company, announced that as of April 6, the fare for Bhubaneswar flights has risen to Rs 3033, up from Rs 2807 in January. This hike amounts to an additional Rs 226 for passengers traveling to Bhubaneswar. Conversely, the airfare for Kolkata-Jamshedpur routes has decreased from Rs 2798 to Rs 2768, resulting in savings of Rs 30 for passengers. The agency adjusts the fares for the nine-seater plane based on passenger demand in Jamshedpur. The flight itinerary involves traveling from Bhubaneswar to Jamshedpur, then onward to Kolkata before returning to Bhubaneswar.

India One Air Company initiated air services from Jamshedpur to Kolkata and Bhubaneswar on January 31, 2023. Since then, the agency has periodically adjusted airfares. In March, the company introduced a new baggage provision, which has been met with opposition from the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce. The new provision reduces the check-in weight limit from 15 to 8 kg and the hand baggage weight from 7 to 3 kg. Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka has expressed dissent by sending a letter of protest to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Civil Aviation Department.
