Jamshedpur, July 1: The family members of Raj Mahato of Sonari, who committed suicide at MGM Hospital on Wednesday last, staged a demonstration before the Jamshedpur Collectorate to demand compensation here on Friday.
The agitators alleged that Raj Mahato had ended his life in depression after alleged medical negligence shown by the MGMCH doctors in treating his son. Mahato’s son was admitted to the orthopaedic ward of the government hospital after suffering a fracture in leg. Reportedly upset over his son’s condition, he hung himself with the help of a towel in the ortho ward of the hospital.
