Jamshedpur: Kin of patient create ruckus over alleged medical negligence in MGM Hospital

Jamshedpur, May 27: A ruckus was witnessed on the premises of MGM Hospital on Friday when the relatives of a patient blamed the doctors and hospital staff of medical negligence. It continued for over one and a half hour after which police took two persons in custody.

Sources said the trouble started when the condition of the patient, Sudhir Gope, deteriorated today. The patient’s relatives reached the hospital and blamed them for showing negligence in treatment. They alleged that the doctors and medical staff were not treating Sudhir sincerely. Enraged by the allegations, the doctors and paramedical staff informed the management about the incident. Soon police was called in to control the situation.

Sources said Gope was admitted with liver complications. Being used to addiction, he is suffering from liver disease.
