Jamshedpur, Sept 30: The Durga Puja pandal at the Thakur Pyara Singh Dhurandhar Singh Club in Kasidih is being modeled on the Kurushetra War as depicted in the epic Mahabharata where the advice given by Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna is depicted. Designers from Contai in West Bengal are giving the finishing touches to this exquisite creation. This information was given during a press meet organized in the pandal premises today by the Puja Committee Patron Abhay Singh. The image of Goddess Durga would also be a centre of major attraction. The image is being made by an artist from Kolkata.

Abhay Singh stated that a request has been sent to the administration to post at least 15 women police personnel and five police jawans at the Puja grounds.
Finger raised on Peace Committee
Abhay Singh raised an accusing finger on the working of the Central Peace Committee. He stated, There are some members who have nothing to do with organizing Durga Puja festival. The Peace Committee meeting is simply an eyewash. The members should discuss with organizers the problems that are faced. Our Puja Committee has demanded from JUSCO halogen street lights on roads leading to Kasidih.
