Jamshedpur: Kalimuddin’s plea rejected in Al Qaida case

Jamshedpur, March 26: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge rejected the plea of Maulana Kalimuddin Mujahiri for dropping his name from a case linked to the terrorist outfit Al Qaida.

In his plea, Kalimuddin said he was not involved in the case.

The Special Branch of Delhi Police had arrested Abdul Sami and Abdul Rehman Katki from Haryana and Odisha in connection with the said Al Qaida case. During their interrogation, police had come to know about Kalimuddin. Senior officials had interrogated him at Bistupur police station, but released him later. The STF had later arrested him at Tatanagar Railway Station in September 2019. Kalimuddin is presently on bail. He was released on 29th November 2020.
