Jamshedpur: The construction of the Kalimandir to Dimna Chowk Baliguma flyover is progressing rapidly, with piling work underway at 65 locations for pillar construction. The 10.02 km-long four-lane flyover, being built at a cost of Rs 610 crore, is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in the city.
Chandan Kumar, Assistant Project Manager of NHAI Tata Ranchi, confirmed that out of the total budget, Rs 279 crore is allocated for pillar construction. “The piling work is in full swing and we are committed to completing the project within the 30-month deadline,” he said.
NHAI Project Director Ekta Kumari reiterated the impact of the project, stating, “Once completed, this flyover will provide relief from traffic jams for the next 50 years. Heavy vehicle drivers, who have been struggling with congestion for years, will particularly benefit from this development.”
The construction is expected to be completed by March 2027, bringing a major infrastructural boost to the region and improving traffic flow on this critical route.
