Jamshedpur: Kadma Ganeshotsav begins with grand pandal inauguration and Kalash installation

Jamshedpur, September 7: The South Indian community in Kadma kicked off Ganeshotsav on September 6 with the inauguration of a grand pandal at the Ganesh Puja ground by Odisha Governor, Raghubar Das. The festivities continued on Saturday with the ceremonial Kalash installation, held during the auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Former Union Minister Arjun Munda, accompanied by his wife Meera Munda, participated in the Kalash installation ceremony. Other notable attendees included MLA Saryu Rai, former DIG Rajiv Ranjan Singh, social worker RK Sinha, and several community leaders including NVR Murthy, B Applanand Rao, and K Ramana Rao.

A team of priests from Parvatipuram, Andhra Pradesh, conducted the ritualistic installation. The event will feature daily Abhishek, Sahasranama, Homa, and a special Kumkum Puja every Friday.

In the evening, MP Bidyut Baran Mahto inaugurated the Ganesh Puja fair, with Health Minister Banna Gupta and other dignitaries in attendance.

Ganeshotsav, organized by Bal Ganapati Vilas, has a long-standing tradition of 106 years in Kadma.
