Jamshedpur journalists meet Saryu Roy, demand facilities

Jamshedpur: A delegation of Jharkhand Shramjeevi Patrakar Union met State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Saryu Roy on Wednesday and handed him a memorandum. The journalists mainly demanded that a media centre should be set up in the city for journalists. They also demanded that the road in Mango where former journalists Mohammad Iliyas and Professor Kamal were killed should be named as Iliyas Kamal Path. They said the state government should provide ration cards to all journalists of Jharkhand.
Roy assured to take up the demands with the state government and fulfill them as soon as possible. This was informed by the outfit general secretary Pramod Kumar.
