Jamshedpur, March 22: A one-day Mega Placement Drive was organized by the District Skill Office at the Employment Exchange in Golmuri here on Wednesday. It was held under the aegis of Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS), Jharkhand.

Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav was present as the chief guest. She distributed offer letters among the selected candidates. DRDA Director Saurabh Sinha, District Planning Officer Arun Dwivedi and District Skill Officer Bam Baiju were present on the occasion. The DC and other guests released a book related to the schemes being run by the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society.

Addressing the youth at the camp, the Deputy Commissioner said that many times youths lose good opportunities due to lack of information and that it is necessary that the youths remain aware. She appealed that all the educated unemployed youths must register themselves with the skill department so that they could be informed about vacancies.

The DC assured that a similar mega placement camp would be organized for the youth of rural areas of Ghatshila subdivision. She said that it was the aim of the government that the educated unemployed youth do not have to go to other states in search of employment. She said the camp was organized so as to provide employment to youths in their own state and district.

In this mega drive, 2687 vacancies were provided by a total of 29 employers from the district and other places. The employers mainly included BMW Industries Limited, Steel Strip Wheels Limited, Dream Stream Pvt. Ltd., Quality Fabricators and Sewa Sahyog Security Pvt. Ltd.
