Jamshedpur: Jharkhand CM assures to provide houses to 8 lakh poor families, launches projects worth Rs 348.10 crore 

Jamshedpur : In a significant stride towards inclusive development, Chief Minister Hemant Soren graced the ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ program in Manpur, Potka, East Singhbhum district. The ceremony witnessed the inauguration and foundation stone laying of projects amounting to Rs 348.10 crore, coupled with the distribution of assets worth Rs 204 crore among 2.26 lakh beneficiaries.

Fulfilling Dreams of Homeownership:
Addressing the gathering, CM Hemant Soren pledged to fulfill the dream of 8 lakh underprivileged citizens by providing them with their own homes. The Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to translating welfare schemes into tangible benefits for the people.
Groundbreaking Projects in Potka:
The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 452 projects, spanning a range of sectors, with a cumulative value of Rs 348.10 crore. Additionally, assets worth Rs 204.11 crore were distributed, reflecting a holistic approach to development.
Government’s Outreach and Accountability:
CM Soren highlighted the government’s shift from air-conditioned offices to direct engagement with the public. He underscored the government’s dedication not only to listening to citizens’ problems but also to resolving them promptly. The Chief Minister expressed pride in bridging the gap between the public and officials, fostering an environment of accessibility and responsiveness.
Festive Atmosphere in ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ Camp:
Describing the camps under the program as festive, CM Soren noted the enthusiastic participation of people seeking information and applying for various schemes. He reiterated the government’s accountability towards the poor, needy, tribals, Dalits, and backward classes.
Focus on Basic Needs:
Identifying food, clothing, and shelter as primary needs, CM Hemant Soren detailed initiatives such as the distribution of 20 lakh green ration cards to ensure food security. The Dhoti-Sari-Lungi scheme aims to provide clothing to the underprivileged, while the Abua house construction initiative with a budget of Rs 3 lakh addresses the housing needs of the economically weaker sections.
Tackling Backwardness and Unemployment:
The Chief Minister held previous governments responsible for Jharkhand’s backwardness despite abundant mineral resources. He emphasized his government’s efforts to generate employment opportunities, with 60 thousand youths already employed in the private sector. Ongoing appointments in government departments and the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme further reflect the commitment to addressing unemployment.
Empowering Women and Education:
CM Hemant Soren highlighted schemes like Sarvajan Pension Yojana, providing pension benefits to the elderly, disabled, and widowed women. The Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana focuses on ensuring education for daughters of poor families, offering financial assistance for competitive exams. The Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme supports higher education endeavors.
In sum, the Chief Minister’s visit to Potka not only marked the launch of transformative projects but also reinforced the government’s dedication to creating an equitable and prosperous Jharkhand.
