Jamshedpur, March 27: In a distressing incident, burglars broke into a residence located in Deepu Tola of Kitadih Gadi Ban Patti under the jurisdiction of the Parsudih police station in Jamshedpur. The theft occurred while the occupants of the house were fast asleep during the night. The perpetrators managed to abscond with jewelry valued at lakhs of rupees along with a sum of Rs 14,800 in cash.

The targeted house belonged to Chandu Mahli, who recounted that the incident unfolded late Tuesday night around 10 pm, shortly after the family had concluded their dinner and retired to sleep in a separate room. Upon waking up the next morning, they discovered the distressing aftermath—evidenced by a broken lock on the adjacent room’s door, scattered belongings, and the conspicuous absence of their precious jewelry from the cupboard, alongside the missing cash summing up to Rs 14,800.

Promptly, BJP leader Vimal Baitha was informed of the unfortunate incident, following which a formal complaint was lodged at the police station under Baitha’s guidance, initiating an investigation into the matter.
