Jamshedpur, March 3: Subahi Khatun, a resident of Old Purulia Road, Mango, has accused a local jeweler of misappropriating her old gold ornaments and cash. She visited the district police office on Thursday.
Khatun, in a memorandum to Senior Superintendent of Police M Tamil Vanan, said she had given her ornaments and cash worth Rs 5 lakh to the proprietor of Jagdish Jewelers of Old Purulia Road. She alleged that police had not arrested the accued despite having registered an FIR against him on 16th February last.
The SSP assured the complainant of prompt action by police.
