Jamshedpur: The Janata Dal (United), East Singhbhum, submitted a detailed memorandum to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Mango Municipal Corporation, highlighting severe lapses in basic civic amenities across the Mango area. The delegation, led by District President Subodh Srivastava, demanded urgent corrective action.

JDU leaders said residents face persistent problems such as damaged roads, clogged drains, irregular garbage collection, poor sanitation and defunct streetlights, while the corporation has failed to ensure timely solutions. The memorandum sought updates and action plans on road and drainage repairs, replacement and installation of streetlights, regular door-to-door garbage collection, roadside waste removal schedules, accountability mechanisms and the corporation’s year-long development roadmap.

Issues related to the disorganised water supply system were also raised. Officials assured that a detailed pipeline survey and installation of new motor pumps would begin soon. JDU also expressed concern over stray cattle, to which the corporation responded that a special district committee has been formed and action will begin shortly.

Those present included JDU office bearers Kulvinder Singh Pannu, Pappu Singh, Kanhaiya Ojha, Mritunjay Singh, Akash Shah and others.
