Jamshedpur, May 10: Units in the Gamharia Industrial Area are now producing medical oxygen continuously and apart from serving the needs of the three Kolhan region districts, have sent a batch of 50 cylinders to Ranchi for use in oxygen supported beds at COVID Care units set up in Khel Gaon and other hospitals of the state capital. The first lot of 50 medical cylinders sent to Ranchi on Sunday was through the assistance of the Saraikela district administration.
Five industrial units of the Gamharia complex were producing industrial oxygen. But with a growing crisis, they have started producing medical oxygen and are now manufacturing enough to ensure refilling of more than 1,500 cylinders per day. The first lot of 500 cylinders will be sent to Ranchi.
