Jamshedpur: Indian Powerlifting Federation team heads to Russia for World Cup

Jamshedpur, November 22: The Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF) team has travelled to Novosibirsk, Russia, to participate in the WPPL World Cup (Powerlifting) scheduled from November 22 to 24, 2024, informed Kaustav Dutta, General Secretary of the Indian Powerlifting Federation.

The team representing India includes Lalit Kumar, Pradeep Kumar Perumalla, Kasturi Rajamurty, and Uday Raghuwanshi. Dutta and the rest of the IPF team members extended their best wishes to the athletes ahead of the competition.

In addition to the ongoing World Cup, Dutta shared that the WPPL World Cup will be hosted in Delhi-NCR, India, in the coming year. Also present on the occasion were IPF members, including Sumit Kumar, Prince Tushir, Shubham Sharma, Amit Rao, Sebastian, and Utkarsh.

The IPF team expressed confidence in the athletes’ performance and is hopeful for a successful outing at this prestigious event in Russia.
