Jamshedpur: In-laws accused of torture, confinement 

Jamshedpur, May 9: Jai Ranjan Kumar, a resident of Sankosai Road No. 1 under MGM police station, says that he was assaulted at MGM police station. The station in-charge was alleged to have beaten him and other policemen also thrashed him.

  In this matter, on Tuesday, Jai Ranjan Kumar met SSP Prabhat Kumar and complained about the matter. Jai Ranjan Kumar told that the SSP has assured that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against the culprits. Jai Ranjan Kumar told that he had a love marriage with Sadhna Kumari, a resident of Dimna Road.

Ranjan Kumar alleges that after this Sadhana’s father and brother took him hostage in their own house and continued to torture mentally and physically.

Jai Ranjan Kumar says that Sadhna’s family members also threatened to kill other members of his family. Jai Ranjan Kumar told that on May 6, Sadhna Kumari along with her mother Usha Devi reached the MGM police station and complained about him there. After this, the policemen took Jai Ranjan Kumar locked him in a room.

After that he was released and then the next morning he was called to the police station and then thrashed.

 Jai Ranjan says that Sadhna’s family members are demanding money from her as well. Jai Ranjan Kumar demands that the SSP investigate the matter and take action against the accused.
