Jamshedpur: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has introduced new subjects, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Applied Mathematics and Modern English for Class 10 and 12 from the 2025 academic session.

Students can now opt for Robotics and AI alongside Computer Science, allowing them to develop foundational skills in these advanced technologies. The initiative aims to equip students for future technical and mathematical challenges while expanding their career opportunities.

To facilitate this transition, teacher training programs have begun in CISCE-affiliated schools across Jamshedpur. At Gulmohar School, Telco, subject expert Roshan Sharma is conducting ICSE-level AI and Robotics training for teachers, helping them understand the course structure and subject matter.

“The course introduces students to AI fundamentals, robotics history and key robotic components, including microcontrollers, sensors and actuators. Through practical projects and coding exercises, students will develop problem-solving skills,” Sharma explained.

The course will be activity-based, ensuring hands-on learning for students. From the upcoming academic session, students will have the opportunity to take foundational AI and Robotics courses, preparing them for the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
