OPDs to Remain Closed on March 4
Jamshedpur: In anticipation of the Holi festivities, the district health administration has placed MGM Medical College Hospital and Sadar Hospital on high alert. To ensure round-the-clock medical availability, authorities have cancelled all leaves for doctors and medical staff deployed in emergency wards.
MGM Hospital Prepares for Emergencies
MGM Hospital Deputy Superintendent Dr. Jujhar Manjhi confirmed that the emergency department is fully stocked with essential medicines and surgical supplies. The move aims to provide immediate trauma care in the event of any untoward incidents.
“Historically, we see a surge in cases related to physical altercations and road accidents during Holi,” Dr. Manjhi stated. “We have optimized our emergency response to handle such cases swiftly.”
24/7 Vigilance at Sadar Hospital
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal announced similar measures for Sadar Hospital. Emergency teams have been ordered to remain available 24/7 to manage the festive rush. All frontline healthcare workers have been instructed to stay on duty to ensure no patient is left unattended.
Important: OPD Service Notice
Patients and visitors should note the following changes to hospital schedules:
- OPD Closure: Outpatient Departments (OPD) at MGM Hospital will remain closed on March 4 due to the Holi holiday.
- Emergency Admissions: While routine check-ups are suspended, the Emergency Ward will remain open to treat serious and critical cases throughout the day.
