Jamshedpur: Burglars Loot ₹55,000 from Hero Service Center

Jamshedpur: Thieves broke into a Hero two-wheeler service centre at Karandih Chowk in the Parsudih police station area on Saturday night, escaping with over 55,000 in cash. This burglary marks the first security breach at the facility in over six years.

The incident came to light on Sunday morning when employees arrived for work. Centre manager Tapan Pal stated that staff had locked and secured the premises as usual at 7:00 PM on March 28. Upon his arrival the next morning, Pal discovered the snapped lock on the primary gate. A further inspection of the interior revealed that the perpetrators had pried open the cash counter window and broken the drawer locks.

A subsequent audit confirmed that the intruders stole between Rs 50,000 and Rs 55,000 from the counter.

Internal surveillance cameras captured the entire crime. The CCTV footage shows three masked individuals expertly breaking the entrance locks under the cover of darkness. The recording depicts the trio infiltrating the counter area and systematically emptying the cash drawers before fleeing the scene.

Following the discovery, the management filed a formal written complaint at the Parsudih Police Station. Local authorities have since visited the crime scene to gather forensic evidence and are currently reviewing the footage to identify the suspects.
