Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s Prakash Parv Celebrated with Devotion at Mango Gurudwara

100 Units Collected in Blood Donation Camp on Occasion

Jamshedpur, August 31: The holy Prakash Parv of Guru Granth Sahib Ji was celebrated with devotion, service, and enthusiasm at Mango Gurudwara Sahib on Sunday. From the early hours of the morning, the Gurudwara premises witnessed a continuous flow of devotees, who came to offer prayers and participate in the celebrations. The atmosphere was filled with peace, devotion, and Guru’s love, echoing the message of Gurbani, “Gurbani is jag mahi chaanan, karma vasai mani aaye.”

The day began with Sahaj Paath, setting a spiritual tone for the occasion. Special narrator Bhai Gurvinder Singh (Jammu Wale) mesmerized the congregation with melodious kirtan and enlightening discourse. Devotees listened with full devotion, immersing themselves in the divine message of Gurbani.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhai Gurvinder Singh emphasized that the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji are eternal and serve as a guiding light for humanity. “In today’s time, imbibing the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in daily life is the true devotion,” he said during the Ardaas and Gurmat discussion.

To mark the occasion, a blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with MGM Hospital. The Sangat participated enthusiastically, donating a total of 100 units of blood. Organizers said the collected units would help save the lives of needy patients. The initiative reflected the Sikh principle of selfless service (seva) and compassion for humanity.

The event also turned into a platform for humanitarian support beyond Jamshedpur. Chief of CGPC, Sardar Bhagwan Singh, expressed deep concern over the devastating floods in Punjab that have severely affected many villages. He announced that Mango Gurudwara Management Committee would send an aid amount of ₹51,000 to the flood-hit areas.

Calling it the community’s duty to support Punjab in this time of crisis, he urged devotees to contribute generously. “Every penny of your donation will reach the flood victims. Contributions can be made directly through the CGPC QR code or at the Gurudwara office, and donors will receive a proper receipt,” he assured.

Sardar Bhagwan Singh also appealed to all Gurudwara Committees in Jamshedpur to unite in extending assistance. “After Mango Gurudwara, more support will be sent to Punjab under the joint aegis of all Gurudwaras,” he added.

The celebrations concluded with the serving of Guru ka Langar, prepared and distributed with great love and service. Devotees shared meals in a spirit of equality and fellowship, reaffirming the Sikh principles of Simran, Sewa, and Sangat.

The occasion was graced by several community leaders and members, including CGPC Chief Sardar Bhagwan Singh, Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Billa, Kulwinder Singh Pannu, Amarjit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Chanchal Singh, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Gurnam Singh Bedi, Harwinder Singh Mantu, Joginder Singh Jogi, Kashmir Singh Shere, SP Singh Kale, Jaswant Singh, Sukhwant Singh Sukhu, Harjot Singh, Kashmir Singh, Deepi, and Avtar Singh.
