Jamshedpur, Feb 7: In a poignant ceremony held at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib, the late Gurdayal Singh was posthumously honored with the Panth Seva Ratna award for his 40 years of dedicated service to singing Kirtan. The special award was accepted with teary eyes by Gurdayal Singh’s son, Gurdeep Singh Pappu, who received it from Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib head, Nishan Singh.
The Sakchi Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) bestowed the Panth Seva Samman on late Sardar Gurdayal Singh to recognize his significant contributions. Nishan Singh, the head of Sakchi Gurudwara, praised Gurdayal Singh as a true servant of Gurughar. In an emotional moment, Gurdeep Singh Pappu expressed pride in his father’s lifetime of service to the Sikh community and Gurughar. He received the honor with gratitude, placing it on his forehead as a mark of respect.
Late Gurdayal Singh, who served Gurdwara Sahib Sakchi for four decades, was draped in a shawl and presented with a souvenir, symbolizing the community’s deep appreciation for his selfless service. Nishan Singh emphasized that Gurdayal Singh’s contributions deserved the honor, acknowledging his dedication over the years. CGPC President Sardar Bhagwan Singh and Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh hailed Gurdayal Singh as a gem of the community, expressing confidence that his service would inspire future generations.
Gurdev Singh Raja appointed Patron of CGPC

Jamshedpur, Feb 7: Former Vice Chairman of Jharkhand Government Minority Commission, Gurdev Singh Raja, has been appointed as the patron of the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC), as announced by CGPC chief Sardar Bhagwan Singh. The appointment was disclosed during a ceremony held at the CGPC office in Sakchi.
At the event, CGPC President Bhagwan Singh, Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, and other dignitaries honored Gurdev Singh Raja by presenting him with a shawl. In his address, Gurdev Singh Raja expressed his commitment to serving society with utmost honesty and extended gratitude to all officials of the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee for the honor.
CGPC honors newly elected office bearers of TWU

Jamshedpur, Feb 7: Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) President, Bhagwan Singh, led a ceremony to honor the newly elected President of Tata Workers Union (TWU), Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary alias Tunnu, at the TWU office. The event, held on Wednesday, saw the expression of joy as shawls and flower bouquets were presented to the honorees.
Apart from TWU President Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, newly elected Vice President Sanjeev Tiwari, Joint Secretary Shyam Babu, and Committee members Ranveer Singh Dimple, Rajesh Singh, Ashwani Maithon, and Praveen Choudhary were also honored with shawls.
During the occasion, President Bhagwan Singh and Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh acknowledged Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary’s re-election for the second time. They highlighted his unopposed election, emphasizing his dedication to the welfare of workers. Congratulating him, they mentioned that his commitment to the workers’ interests led to his re-election.
TWU President Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary expressed gratitude to the Sikh community and assured support for addressing any issues related to the community within Tata Steel.
