Jamshedpur: A goods-laden auto-rickshaw overturned on Marine Drive. The driver, however, escaped with minor injuries. Local people rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Marine Drive, of late, has become a virtual accident prone spot, riddled with cracks and pot holes. Monsoon waters collect in these holes and submerge them and extreme caution is required to negotiate this road. Several accidents have occurred on the Marine Drive stretch, some nearly fatal. One fatal accident occurred a couple of days earlier when a young man was crushed under the wheels of a trailer-truck.
