Jamshedpur, March 2: Shrishti Garg, a former student of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Telco, is stuck in the war-torn Ukraine. Her father Kameshwar Pandey, a resident of Govindpur, has requested the Indian Embassy authorities in Ukraine and the Indian government to ensure her safe return to India. “I have spoken to my daughter over phone and now she is reaching the bordering areas in Romania and Poland where she would embark on her journey to India. We hope she is back home safe and sound.”
Sources said the Embassy officials have contacted Shrishti, a fourth year MBBS student, and have taken steps to bring her back safely. Local BJP leaders Ankit Anand, Dinesh Kumar and Kunal Sarangi had also taken up the issue with the higher government authorities.
Anand had tweeted to the Indian Embassy in Ukraine seeking help for Shrishti’s return.
