Jamshedpur girl Navieka Jaiswal finishes runner-up in All India FIDE Rated Chess Tournament

Jamshedpur, Dec 24: Navieka Jaiswal, a promising chess player from Jamshedpur, clinched the second position in the AICF Smart Girls Project All India Open FIDE Rated Chess Tournament 2024, held from December 18 to 22 at Agrasen Bhawan, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.


Competing against 120 players from 11 states, Navieka scored an impressive 7 points out of 9 rounds, earning a cash prize of ₹15,000 along with a trophy and medal.
Her remarkable performance has been lauded by the chess community. East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA) Secretary Narendra Kumar Tiwari, along with International Arbiters Jayant Kumar Bhuiyan and Chandan Kumar Prasad, congratulated Navieka on her achievement.

Navieka’s success is a testament to her hard work and dedication, and she is encouraged to continue her pursuit of excellence in chess.
