Jamshedpur girl bags role in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’

Jamshedpur, Aug 11: Jamshedpur’s promising actress Arshi Bharti has joined the cast of popular family comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. She is playing the role of Taarak Mehta’s boss secretary on the show.  While the role of boss is being essayed by famous actor Rakesh Bedi, the steel city girl is playing his secretary.

Talking about her new project Arshi said: “ I had given an audition and had forgotten about it just like all the actors do, but after a week I got a call from my casting director saying I been shortlisted, well at first I couldn’t recall but then when he said it’s for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and then I went crazy because I didn’t expect this to happen, getting shortlisted is a big thing though I wasn’t expecting I would get the role but I got a call at night saying ‘kal se shoot hai hogya hai aapka’ I was so happy I couldn’t believe this till the next day when I had my shoot”.

Arshi informed that her episodes are already being screened on television and she is really very happy the way she has portrayed her role.

She further said: “I feel superb, it wasn’t expected I’m really very happy, reading the comments on YouTube people are talking good about her role as secretary. Working with such great actors is a big big thing. And Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a hit show and coming on India’s most hit show is like a dream come true”.

Arshi was also seen in Bollywood with Ashutosh Gowarikar’s ‘Panipat’. The movie was based on the Third Battle of Panipat, it starred Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Kriti Sanon. She played bagged the role of Kriti Sanon’s friend. Sanon essayed the role of Parvati Bai.

After completing her tenth from Sacred Heart Convent School and her plus two from JH Tarapore School, she left to fulfill per dreams in Mumbai. She got herself enrolled at Whistling Woods, the film, media and art institute. Though she was a student of media but her interest in acting drew her towards theater. She said that she always wanted to be in front of camera and this triggered passion in her to perform.

She thanks her parents father Rajesh Bharti an astrologer by profession and mother Sunita Bharti, who is a regional singer to being constant support in exploring in the field of acting.

Talking about her upcoming projects, the young talent said: “I have started getting many offers but waiting for a good one.”
