Jamshedpur gears up for 25th Guru Purnima Mahostav

Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha to host 3-day festival

Jamshedpur, July 6: Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha is all geared up to celebrate 25th Guru Purnima Mahostav in Jamshedpur.
City’s socio-religious organization’s much awaited annual event will begin on July 7.

The three-day event will host several cultural and religious programs at Rabindra Bhawan in Sakchi and Brahmolokdham in Kadma.

About 2,000 members of the sangha, which organizes the festival, along with hundreds of outstation members have arrived in the steel city.

The annual event will begin Cultural program deep prajwalan, which will be inaugurated by chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday, July 7 at 9 am in Brahmolokdham.

State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Rai will also participate in the deep prajwalan at 5 pm at Rabindra Bhawan the same day.

This will be followed by Drama on ‘Gurumahima’ by Maharashtra branch at 5.15 pm at Rabindra Bhawan. The first day will conclude with a cultural programme presented by Cuttack, Muzaffarpur, Kharagpur and Ranchi Branch at Rabindra Bhawan.

Second day (July 8) programme will be inaugurated by former Jharkhand minister Banna Gupta at 10 am. This will be followed by Drama on ‘Parampurush Sri Ramkrishna’ by Delhi Branch and drama on ‘Maha Kavi Kalidas’ by Kolkata Branch.

Deep Prajwalan in the evening will be conducted by Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahato

A documentary film will be screened by Varanasi Branch at 5.15 pm followed by drama on ‘Madguru Sri Jagatguru’ by the Varanasi branch while Jamshedpur branch will put up drama on ‘Agni Varsha’. All the programs on second day will be held at Rabindra Bhawan.

The concluding day (July 9) will kick-off with Mangal Aarti at Brahmolokdham at 5.30 am followed y Prabhat pheri. Guru Pujan will be held at Brahmolokdham at 9 am.

The evening cultural program will be inaugurated by Ashish Mathur, MD, Jusco at Rabindra Bhawan. This will be followed by closing ceremony were members of all te branches will converge.

Kripabindu Bhattacharjee, president of Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha, said devotees from different branches such as Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Indore, Raipur, Varanasi, Muzaffarpur Cuttack, Puri and Ranchi have arrived for the three day festival.

‘Our socio-religious organisation Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha has completed its 44th year of various philantrophic and cultural activities successfully. 2017 is a very special year as we complete 25 year of celebration of Gurupurnima Mahotsav and chief minister Raghubar Das will be present as the chief guest for the golden jubilee festival’, added Kripabindu Bhattacharjee.

Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha is a religious outfit founded by Srimad Brahmananda Shastri, a former head priest of Beldih Kalibari.
