Jamshedpur, April 24: Kartik Jha, a Gandhi Fellow, in collaboration with the NITI Ayog, emphasized the significance of voting in bolstering democracy. Drawing from extensive societal experience, Jha highlighted a prevalent lack of awareness among the public regarding the impact of its votes. Despite India’s status as the world’s largest democracy, there remained a concerning apathy towards voting, with citizens often failing to recognize their pivotal role in shaping governance.

Jha stressed the imperative for citizens to exercise their voting rights judiciously, stressing that each vote contributed to the strength of India’s democratic fabric. Acknowledging ongoing efforts by the administration and social organizations to promote voter turnout through various initiatives, Jha commended their dedication towards achieving a 100% participation rate.
