Jamshedpur, April 4: In a concerted effort led by Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar, free drinking water distribution commenced in rural areas of Bagbera. Under the supervision of Panchayat representatives, a 12,000-liter water tanker provided by JUSCO dispensed water at strategic locations, including Posto Nagar and the branch ground.

Chief Mayawati Tudu and Panchayat Samiti member Sunil Gupta participated in the distribution process, ensuring water reached those in need. This initiative has been on for the past 15 days across 14 panchayat areas, including Bagbera, Harharguttu, and Kitadih, and will continue throughout the summer season.

Zila Parishad Vice President Pankaj Sinha spearheaded a similar effort, employing an 8,000-liter water tanker provided by Tarapore & Company to distribute free drinking water in Avadhpuri Colony and Muigutu areas. The initiative aimed to alleviate water scarcity concerns, with the tanker making three daily trips to identified locations for distribution.

Panchayat Committee members Shivji Singh and Gaman Thakur expressed gratitude for the efforts of ZP Vice President Pankaj Sinha and the support of the district administration in ensuring uninterrupted water supply. Meetings will be conducted with local residents and Panchayat representatives to streamline the distribution process and address any water-related challenges in the area.
