Jamshedpur: In a disturbing discovery early Saturday morning, four mutilated bodies were found on the railway track between Talaburu and Kendposhi stations near Chaibasa. The victims, suspected to be from a single family, included a 28-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, a one-year-old baby boy, and a two-and-a-half-year-old baby girl.
The bodies of the children were found together, while the bodies of the adults were discovered separately, approximately two kilometers apart. The cause of death remains uncertain, with authorities yet to determine whether it was a case of multiple suicides, an accident, or a gruesome mass murder.

Train services were abruptly halted upon the discovery of the bodies, causing disruptions until they were removed. Both local police and railway authorities swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the bodies to the Chakradharpur sub-divisional hospital for postmortem examinations.
Senior divisional commercial manager, Gajraj Singh, confirmed the resumption of train services following the removal of the bodies. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 am, has prompted a joint investigation by railway police and local law enforcement to unravel the details of this harrowing incident.

“The cause of death is yet to be ascertained. We are investigating whether it was a case of multiple suicides, accidental deaths, or a barbaric act of mass murder,” stated a spokesperson from the local police.
