Flower show is part of the City’s glorious history: Chanakya Chaudhary
Jamshedpur, Dec 30: The famous flower show has returned to Jamshedpur after a gap of over two years to Gopal Maidan between December 30 and January 2. Owing to Covid-19 restrictions, two consecutive flower shows were cancelled in the last two years.
Organised by Horticultural Society, Jamshedpur in association with Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL, the theme of 32nd edition of flower show is “Hariyali Se Khushali Hamari Zimmedari”.

Chief Guest for the occasion Kolhan Commissioner Manoj Kumar inaugurated the flower show on December 30 evening in presence of Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson, Horticulture Society Jamshedpur and others.

Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, Chanakya Chaudhary said, Jamshedpur flower show is part of the glorious history of the city. More than 50 varieties from different nurseries have been put on exhibit in this flower show which in itself is unique.

Nature lovers across the country are participating in this flowers show that proves yet again that Jamshedpur Steel, Clean and Green city.
Four-day show will provide people of the city an opportunity of staying close to nature, attend workshops, entertainment shows, contests during the four-day show.
Campus Mobile Photography Contest will be held from 30th Dec 2022 to 2nd January 2023.
Series of the events will be held during flower exhibition which will be a treat for the nature lovers.

It all begins with Sit and Draw Competition on December 31 followed by Painting competition. Workshop on Cultivation of seasonal Flowers & indoor plants and Cultivation of Rose & its care will be held on December 31. The prize distribution will be held at 12:30pm.
The day concludes with entertainment program by Step School of Dance in the evening.
Flower Show will remain open from 9am to 9pm every day except on the day of inauguration.
Helpdesk is available at the reception counter for the help and support of visitors. Wheelchairs will be provided for the convenience of the elderly people.
The organisers have urged the visitors as well as the participants to strictly adhere to the Government directives for Covid-19 precautions and to always wear masks.
