Jamshedpur: Firing case accused surrenders before police

Jamshedpur, Oct 14: Kunal Yadav, accused in the firing case of Burmamines, surrendered at Burmamines police station on Friday. He was forwarded to judicial custody.

Police had lodged an FIR against Kunal in connection with the firing on one Manoj Das of Carriage Colony. They had arrested three persons, Raghuvir Pathak, Azad Paul alias Bobby and Sumit Kumar Singh, on 3rd October last for allegedly hatching plan to murder Manoj Das.

During interrogation, Kunal reportedly told cops he wanted to avenge the murder of his father allegedly committed by Manoj in the year 2009. He said he was too young then to do anything. He said he had planned to kill Manoj Das with Bobby who brought a gun. On 24th June, Kunal fired on Manoj, but the pistol got locked and bullet did not fire.
