Jamshedpur Firing: Accused arrested, country-made pistol seized

Jamshedpur: After the firing incident that unfolded on the night of 18th February in Nirmal Nagar, a young man named Ravi Mahato became the victim of a targeted firing attack. The incident occurred around midnight when Ravi Mahato stepped out of his house for a routine activity, only to face a hail of bullets.

The assailant, identified as Golu Machhua, a resident of Nirmal Nagar, allegedly opened fire on Ravi Mahato, with one bullet piercing through his waist. The gruesome attack left Ravi Mahato injured, prompting him to report the incident to the authorities.

On 19 February, a formal complaint was registered at the Sonari police station, leading to the initiation of a thorough investigation into the matter. The victim, Ravi Mahato, detailed the harrowing incident in his statement, providing crucial information that helped in identifying the alleged perpetrator, Golu Machhua, and his associates.

In response to the gravity of the situation, City SP Mukesh Lunayat swiftly intervened, directing the Sonari police station in-charge, Kumar Saryu, to take immediate action. A dedicated team of policemen, led by Anand, was assembled to apprehend the accused and bring them to justice.
