Jamshedpur, April 27: The relatives of late Vishnu Gorai, who was killed in an accident on the National Highway 33 near Dimna Chowk yesterday, registered an FIR against the truck driver here on Wednesday.
Yesterday, the relatives of the deceased, a Simuldanga resident, had blocked the highway to demand compensation.
According to Bhuvan Gorai, a kin of the deceased, alleged that rash driving by the truck driver led to the fatality.
Local villagers meanwhile accused the traffic police of slackness. They said the traffic cops had failed to prevent fatal accidents on the highway. They said heavy vehicles should not be allowed to break safe speed limits near the vicinity of populated areas.
