Jamshedpur: FIR against friends for abetting Kadma youth’s suicide

Jamshedpur, April 9: Kadma police registered an FIR against one Ravi Rajak and other unknown persons for allegedly abetting the suicide of IDFC Bank employee Rahul Kumar.

According to police, Ashwini Kumar alias Raju, father of Rahul Kumar, had complained against Ravi and his associates for allegedly beating up Rahul a day before he committed suicide. Police sources said Rahul and his friends had a party during which Rahul had a tiff with some people. Rahul was allegedly beaten up by Ravi and his friends, sources said.

Police had reached the party venue and tried to intervene in the ruckus. Next day, Rahul was found hanging from the ceiling of his room. His friends had put the blame on the police, claiming that they had beaten up Rahul on the day of party, which led their friend to commit suicide due to stress and humiliation.

Cops said they were looking for the accused persons to get a clue about the cause of dispute that led to the suicide. They said they would be find out the role played by each of Rahul’s friend in abetting the suicide.
