Jamshedpur: Fine of Rs 72,000 from traffic violators

Jamshedpur, April 25. Following instructions of District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan, the road safety team conducted vehicle checking campaign near Jubilee Park Main Gate.

In all 17 people were found driving without helmet or seatbelt in this investigation campaign against the drivers who disobeyed the rules of road safety. In the investigation, nine drivers could not present the license and other documents, due to which a total of Rs 72,000 was collected.

The drivers who violated the traffic rules were informed about the traffic rules so that the loss of life and property in any kind of road accident can be reduced. In all 48 such vehicles have been identified for triple riding, rash driving and driving away despite being stopped by the police, who will be sent online challans.

The District Transport Officer said that this was a routine investigation campaign run by the Transport Office. The purpose of the investigation campaign is to create awareness about road safety among the people and the penalty has been imposed so that they do not repeat such mistake again. He appealed to the residents of the district to definitely follow the traffic rules, in this it is good for you as well as your family.

On many occasions, the district administration conducts awareness campaigns regarding traffic rules in schools, colleges, square-intersections, hot markets so that people remain aware of their safety.
