Jamshedpur, Dec. 19: Braving cold weather, crowd assembled in Gopal Maidan on Saturday as Jamshedpur Fest was opened for the citizens of steel city.
Around 40 teenagers from Gandhi Aahram School (GAPO), Kalimpong, for the disadvantaged children, hosted a musical soiree and played violin, cello and guitar to mesmerize the capacity crowd present at Gopal Maidan in Saturday evening as part of the Jamshedpur Fest.
It started with Korean folk tune describing beauty of nature followed by Christmas symphony describing Christmas celebration in Berlin and Germany. This was followed by a popular hindi number � Ek pyar ka naghma hai�. Next presentation was a medley comprising a couple of bollywood oldies. The session had a beautiful ending with a Nepali dance named �A Glimpse of Himalayas�.The participants were given a token of appreciation by Mr Ashish Mathur, MD, Jusco.
This was followed by dance performances by top performers who stood first and second in the competition organized by Urban Services for the communities. The crowd also enjoyed mouth watering delicacies at the International Food Festival put up by Jamshedpur Hoteliers Association.
Singing talent of Jamshedpur gave scintillating performances while NTTF Band of Jamshedpur presented famous bollywood numbers. On Sunday, December 20, Carnival Parade will be out from Jubilee Park and will reach Gopal Maidan in the afternoon.
