Jamshedpur FC’s Young Footballers Ready for FIFA World Cup Fever

Jamshedpur, June 11: While they spend their days training on the pitch and preparing for upcoming competitions, Jamshedpur FC’s young footballers are also eagerly counting down to one of the biggest celebrations in the sporting calendar – the FIFA World Cup.

The tournament promises to bring together players from across Jamshedpur FC’s youth setup, with special live screening sessions planned at the Tata Football Academy (TFA), where teammates will gather to watch matches, cheer for their favourite nations and share in the excitement of football’s grandest stage.

The youth squads boast a wide range of football loyalties, with Portugal, Argentina, Germany and England among the most popular teams. Friendly debates have already begun in the dressing room as players back their chosen nations ahead of the tournament.

For Reserve Team player Ronaldo Singh, the choice is an easy one.

“My name itself is Ronaldo, so I’ve always supported Portugal,” he said with a smile. “Cristiano Ronaldo has been a huge inspiration to me and watching Portugal play is always exciting.”

Among the Under-16 players, midfielder Indraj Vinesh will be keeping a close eye on Germany.

“I support the Germany national football team from 2014 because of Mesut Özil. I like their strong teamwork and disciplined style of play. Their players always give their best on the field. Germany has been my favourite football team since 2014,” said Indraj.

Meanwhile, Under-16 forward Rajveer Kapoor will be proudly backing Portugal.

“Portugal plays exciting and skillful football. They have won major international trophies. The team is known for its passion and fighting spirit. Supporting Portugal means supporting a team that never gives up,” said Rajveer.

The World Cup festivities at TFA are expected to add another layer of excitement to the players’ routine, giving them an opportunity to learn from some of the best footballers in the world while enjoying the tournament together as teammates and friends.
