Jamshedpur FC’s Best Grassroots Award brings joy to Tinplate Sports Complex

Jamshedpur: The Indian Super League (ISL) has recognized Jamshedpur FC as the Best Grassroots Programme in the country, and the iconic award has found its way to the Tinplate Sports Complex. The award exhibition was attended by Jamshedpur Football Open School & Feeder Center kids, along with their parents, who were overjoyed to share this achievement.

The award was presented to the grassroots kids, parents, and coaches of Tinplate Sports Complex, acknowledging the collective effort that made this achievement possible. Parents congratulated Jamshedpur FC on this milestone, expressing their pride in being part of the club’s grassroots program. Kundan Chandra, representing Jamshedpur FC, attributed the award to the support, patience, and belief of enthusiastic parents who share the club’s vision and passion for the game.

Jamshedpur FC’s grassroots program operates across multiple locations, including Loyola School, Carmel Junior College, JRD Tata Sports Complex Artificial Turf, Armoury Ground, and Tinplate Sports Complex, engaging over 350 children in various age groups. The club collaborates with the Tata Steel Foundation to expand grassroots football into rural areas, providing technical support and coaching education in under-served communities.

The program includes large-scale competitions like the Jamshedpur Super League, offering consistent match experience to hundreds of boys and girls throughout the year. Initiatives like the Father’s and Mother’s Division have helped build a community-driven football culture, making the grassroots ecosystem inclusive and sustainable. The JFC Youth teams have also seen considerable success in various tournaments across age groups in past seasons.

The Best Grassroots Programme award is a testament to Jamshedpur FC’s commitment to developing young talent and promoting football in the region.
