Jamshedpur FC U14 and U16 Teams Set for Final Round Challenge

Jamshsedpur, April 29: Jamshedpur FC’s youth development programme continues to make strong strides this season, with both the U14 and U16 teams set to travel for the final rounds of their respective AIFF youth leagues.

The U14 side will depart from Ranchi to Chennai on April 30 for the Sub-Junior League Final Round in Mahabalipuram, while the U16 team will leave on May 1 for Goa, where they will compete in the final round of the AIFF U16 League.

The U16 team earned their place in the final round after an impressive, unbeaten run in the zonal stage. Finishing at the top of Group G, they recorded seven wins and one draw from eight matches, scoring 33 goals and conceding just five. This marks the second consecutive season that the U16 side has qualified for the final round.

Their campaign in Goa will begin against Bengaluru FC on May 3 at the Utorda Football Ground. They will then face Sreenidhi Deccan FC on May 5 at the Raia Football Stadium, before taking on SSE BFC Soccer Schools on May 7 at the Utorda Football Ground.

Meanwhile, the U14 team enters the final round on the back of a flawless campaign, having won all 10 matches in the zonal stage to emerge as Group G champions. The team scored 39 goals and conceded just two, underlining their dominance throughout the competition.

Notably, the squad features 19 players from Jharkhand and is part of the club’s first-ever fully residential U14 setup, reflecting a strong focus on grassroots development and local talent identification. In Mahabalipuram, they will begin their campaign against Minerva Football Academy on May 2.

This will be followed by fixtures against Football Club Mangalore on May 4 and Football 4 Change Academy on May 6, with all matches scheduled for a 4:30 PM kickoff.
