Jamshedpur, September 25: Jamshedpur FC concluded their final training session at the Flatlet Training Ground here on Saturday before heading to face Odisha FC in the Indian Super League. The match will be played at the Kalinga Stadium on September 28 at 5 PM.
Jamshedpur FC has started the season on a high note, securing back-to-back comeback victories against FC Goa and Mumbai FC. The home win against Mumbai, in front of a sell-out crowd, has given the team a confidence boost ahead of their next challenge. In contrast, Odisha FC has lost both of their opening matches and will be under pressure to secure a result.
Reflecting on the team’s final session, Jamil stressed on the importance of staying grounded. “The training has been great so far. The players have shown tremendous commitment over the last two matches. They are mentally prepared for the next game, but we need to ensure that all our hard work is reflected on the pitch against Odisha. We cannot afford to be complacent or overconfident.”
Spanish midfielder Javier Hernandez also weighed in. “Winning the first two games is crucial, but it’s a long season—22 more matches to go. We need to keep playing with the same spirit and fight for every point.”
Jamshedpur FC will travel to Odisha on the morning of September 25, with a pre-match session scheduled for September 26. After the clash with Odisha, the team will return to Jamshedpur to face East Bengal FC in their second home match on October 5.
