Jamshedpur FC gears up for crucial clash against East Bengal FC

Jamshedpur, October 2: As Jamshedpur FC gears up for their clash against East Bengal FC on October 5 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, the Men of Steel are leaving no stone unturned in their preparation. After a narrow 1-2 defeat against Odisha FC, the team is determined to bounce back stronger in front of their home crowd.

The team had intense training sessions at the Flatelet training ground for the past two days and is preparing hard for the crucial match. Head coach Khalid Jamil stressed on the need for consistency and focus in the build-up to the match.

“We played well in the second half against Odisha, but we need to ensure that we start games with the same intensity. East Bengal is a solid side, and we can’t afford any slip-ups,” Javi Hernandez said.

Mobashir Rahman, who played a pivotal role in the second half against Odisha, expressed confidence in the team’s resilience. “We’ve shown that we have the ability to fight back in games, but it’s about starting strong and staying composed throughout. The team spirit is high, and we’re ready to put in a top performance against East Bengal,” he said.

Jamshedpur’s attack will look to capitalize on the form of Javi Hernandez and Jordan Murray, both of whom came close to scoring in the last match several times. The midfield will also need to step up, ensuring better control and distribution to break down East Bengal’s defense. With home support behind them, the Men of Steel will be aiming to secure three crucial points to get back into the winning ways.

The team had won two of its three matches so far and are on third position on the Indian Super League table.  Already more than 13,000 tickets have been sold and the clash will be played out in front of a packed stadium. With a considerable number of away fans also travelling for the match, the atmosphere will be electric at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday.
