Jamshedpur FC eye crucial turnaround against Mohammedan SC at home

Jamshedpur, December 1: Jamshedpur FC is gearing up for a crucial encounter against Mohammedan SC on December 2 at 7:30 PM at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. Both teams find themselves in challenging positions on the Indian Super League table, making this match a pivotal opportunity to improve their standings.

Jamshedpur FC, currently 9th with 12 points from 8 matches, is looking to bounce back after a string of bad results, including three consecutive losses. Mohammedan SC, sitting in 12th position, will also see this fixture as a chance to gain momentum in the league.

Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil addressed the media ahead of their upcoming match against Mohammedan SC, emphasizing the importance of bouncing back stronger after recent losses. Jamil stressed that while the team’s recent performances have fallen short, the focus now is on improving, starting with this crucial game.

“The overall performance of the last three games is not up to the mark—not only the striker, defender, midfielder, everybody. I am one of them because I take the responsibility,” he said.

Discipline was another key point of focus, with Jamil urging players to avoid unnecessary yellow and red cards. “Discipline is crucial. Yellow cards often happen in 50-50 situations, but players need to remain vigilant and avoid mistakes that could cost us,” he explained.

Jamil described the match as a “turning point” for the team, emphasizing that the players are fully aware of the stakes and are determined to deliver their best. He also mentioned that the team’s mentality in away games has improved, with a focus on playing as a cohesive unit.

“We’re ready for this game. There are no injuries, and all players, including key players like Lazar, Jordan, and Ritvik, are fit and ready to contribute,” said Jamil, expressing confidence in the team’s preparation.

The coach also clarified the goalkeeper change, stating that it wasn’t a result of frustration but rather an opportunity for others to prove themselves. Both goalkeepers, Albino and Amrit, have shown good form, and Jamil emphasized that the entire team is ready to give their best in the upcoming match.

Mohammedan SC, too, will arrive in Jamshedpur with a clear mission. Their resilience in previous matches signals a tough contest ahead for the home side.

Jamshedpur FC is counting on the passionate support of the fans to create an electrifying atmosphere at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. Jamil and his players have called on the fans to rally behind the team and inspire them to a much-needed victory. With everything to play for, this clash promises to be a fiercely contested battle, and Jamshedpur FC will be determined to deliver a performance that reignites their campaign.

Both these teams have ample times to resurrect their runs, but they will want to start that initiative from the forthcoming fixture onwards.
