Jamshedpur: Farmer files complaint with DSP for recovery of outstanding money

Jamshedpur, July 8: Sameer Kumar Bhakat, a resident of Shankarda village in Potka block, sold his ancestral land to Kamlesh Singh in 2019 and received part payment with the major portion remaining unpaid. Despite several attempts to recover the outstanding amount, no headway had been made leading  Sameer Kumar Bhakat’s family to file a complaint with the Musabani DSP on Monday. It may be mentioned that the deal for the sale of 119 decimal of land had been made for Rs 11, 33, 237. The DSP has directed the Potka police station to take necessary action in the matter.

Bhakat’s health deteriorated due to stress over the unresolved financial dispute, culminating in paralysis. Concerned family members sought assistance from former councilor Karunamay Mandal before eventually lodging a complaint with the Musabani DSP.
