Jamshedpur: Excitement and pride mark Loyola School Junior Section Prize Night

Jamshedpur, July 16: A buzz of excitement and the glow of pride permeated the Fasy Auditorium as the Annual Prize Night of Loyola School’s Junior Section held sway over a packed auditorium.

The prevailing mood, heightened by the melodious song renditions and foot-tapping dance numbers added to the glitter of the occasion.

The chief guest on the occasion was Loyola School Principal, Fr Vinod Fernandes. Other dignitaries present included School Rector Fr KM Joseph, Administrator Fr Gerry, Vice Principals Jayanti and Vinita Ekka.

Principal Fr Vinod Fernandes observed, “Those students who have worked hard, assiduously and with complete dedication in each segment of school activity are recognized and felicitated with awards. Today, 179 students will stand testimony to that during this event.”

Rector Fr KM Joseph initiated the programme with a prayer seeking Divine blessings for all. The students, smartly attired in their school uniform, added to the decency of the proceedings.

Two teachers of the Junior School, Kavita Ghabri and Ritu Asthana were honoured for their unique and qualitative contribution through 25 years of devoted and meritorious service.

Award for Excellence (two each from every class), Award for Thoughts on Community Issues (two each for every class) and Award for Success Surmounting Obstacles (one each from every class) were presented on the occasion.

Students were also awarded rolling trophies, certificates and cash awards for their excellence in every sphere of activity that included academic, character development and aesthetic values. Aryan Kumar of Class V was awarded the Chitrajeet Ghosh Memorial Trophy while Kripa Bhatia, also of Class V was the recipient of SP Dubey Memorial Award.

Vice Principal of Loyola Junior School Vineeta Ekka offered the vote of thanks.
